Make Life EZ
Design for a purpose and creation of a product that serves the community
How can design improve the safety and living quality of people with disabilities?
In response, I developed the concept platform "Make life EZ" designed to help people with disabilities find the right resources at any location. This platform provides a comprehensive accessibility map highlighting resource locations such as wheelchair ramps, braille systems, elevators, and enhanced ATMs with ADA mode, making it easier for them to navigate their surroundings.
Additionally, the app provides the option to plan the safest and most efficient route, minimizing foot traffic and ensuring a smooth journey. The ultimate goal of "Make life EZ" is to empower people with disabilities to live their best lives with ease and safety.
Approach
The approach involved understanding the challenges they face in their daily lives and finding ways to leverage technology and design to overcome those hurdles.
The first step was conducting extensive research and gathering insights from individuals with disabilities, as well as experts in accessibility and assistive technology. This helped in gaining a deeper understanding of their unique requirements and identifying the areas where design could make the most significant impact.
Outcome
Based on the insights gathered, the concept app "Make life EZ" was born. The primary objective was to develop a user-friendly platform that would empower people with disabilities to navigate their surroundings with confidence and ease. The app was designed to be accessible, intuitive, and inclusive, ensuring that it catered to a wide range of disabilities.
