Big Data: Mental Health Trends and Covid-19

Analyzed data-driven research and visualized findings to study the impact of Covid-19 on mental health trends.

Overview

The global pandemic has profoundly impacted society, with disruptions caused by lockdowns leading to socio-economic challenges and affecting physical and mental well-being. The objective of this project is to closely examine the trends in mental health during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Objective

By conducting a thorough analysis of data-driven research, this project aims to visualize the pandemic’s impact on anxiety, depression, access to care, and limitations for different age groups. The objective is to understand who is most affected and whether they are receiving the necessary support.

Process

To gather relevant information, I consulted the data.cdc.gov data portal. By employing various filters, different datasets were collected to narrow down the research focus. These datasets were then meticulously cleaned and prepared for analysis. I utilized DataWrapper and Flourish software platforms to visually represent the gathered data, creating informative and engaging visualizations.

Outcome

By combining rigorous data analysis with compelling visualizations, this project aims to shed light on the mental health implications of the Covid-19 pandemic.
