Overview

The task at hand was to create product-specific packaging that effectively conveyed the contents of the box without explicitly stating its name. To achieve this, I employed typography, color, and imagery strategically on the exterior of the packaging. In order to communicate the nature of the product through words, I opted for the statement "Let's talk hair," injecting a modern and funky undertone that hinted at the essence of the product. This choice aimed to pique curiosity and create intrigue while aligning with the overall branding.

Approach

Given that my chosen product focused on hair coloring and bleaching, I harnessed the power of bold colors in my packaging design. Specifically, I incorporated the vibrant shade of "peach orange" against a fuchsia background. This deliberate color choice served as a visual code for the product, reinforcing its identity and standing out on the shelf. To further enhance the packaging's impact, I incorporated inspirational imagery. I decided to feature the back of a head, showcasing the desired hair color that corresponded to the specific shade inside the box. This visual representation allowed potential customers to envision the end result and make an informed decision based on their preferences. By carefully integrating typography, color, and imagery, the final packaging design effectively communicated the product's essence and contents without explicitly revealing its name.
