I found inspiration from Claes Oldenburg's Giant Soft Fan sculpture, crafted from vinyl, and Louise Bourgeois' Spider Cell installation, both exhibited at the MoMa, for constructing my altar. The use of large-scale art to emphasize an object appealed to me when considering ways to worship a technology tool dear to me. Headphones, to me, represent a private party in public. With the volume set to my liking, I can listen to any audio at any location without being distracted or causing a distraction to those around me.
